s02e05: The Grumpiest Men in Beer

Well, not really.

Dominic Kelly and Phil Cook are actually both lovely people, but it's fair to say they aren't afraid to speak their minds.

Their blogs, the Liquor Ladder and the Beer Diary respectively, are full of insightful, well-researched, and often cutting commentary into the beer scene.

They are also both immersed deeply in the industry, Dom as the owner of Wellington bar Hashigo Zake and import business Beer Without Borders and Phil as a bartender at Golding's Free Dive.

We sat down with the pair for a few pints at The Malthouse for a wide-ranging and super beer-geeky conversation about things such as local alcohol policies, tied taps, beer bubbles, buy-outs and everything in between.
